What's So Great About Apes?

This game was made by apes, for apes.

I made this game for the Special Interest Jam. It took me a little while to figure out if I had a current special interest at all, and then I remembered that last summer I had watched or rewatched every single 'Planet of the Apes' movie (except the Tim Burton one) and written thousands and thousands of words on Letterboxd about them.

This was originally supposed to be a quick and dirty WSCA game, but every time I sat down to work on it I ended up adding a new section or another thousand words.

There are many people in the POTA fandom who, unlike me, have read all the tie-in novels and comics, have created original characters, and have already done extensive role playing and worldbuilding. I'm not there yet, and I don't claim to be--this TTRPG is in no way definitive, but it is an expression of my deep love for the franchise and for apes.
